We save your password so that we can continuously send and retrieve information from your inbox. If you change your password you will need to enter the new password the next time you login.

We plan to implement a different form of authentication in the near future so that we do not need to save your password.

Yes. When you login in using Exchange we do currently save your password. Your password is encrypted when we save it.
